SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Reorganized and led two key Alberta Department of Energy branches through
periods of critical change.
Identified the need and initiated a project to reduce and simplify industry
reporting requirements for Alberta’s gas royalty process.
Developed and negotiated the business principles for Alberta’s Metallic
Minerals Royalty
Regulation.
Developed and implemented a product control accounting system for an Alberta
NGL fractionation and storage facility.
Developed and negotiated the policies and business rules required by Alberta
to give effect to the Petroleum Marketing Act (1974) and the Natural Gas
Pricing Agreement Act (1975).
Developedand implemented supporting business processes.
Created and led the Information Technology group of the Alberta Petroleum
Marketing Commission during the first six years of its mandate.
Developed and implemented a cost/profitability accounting system to meet
the business needs of a Canadian bank operating in the United States and
to support revenue/cost distribution for Canadian and U.S. taxation authorities.
Developed the first computerized application to evaluate exploration and
development projects (decisions under uncertainty) for a major Canadian
oil company and contributed to the corporate financial model.
