Executive Management

Dana is a successful and proven entrepreneur who has financed and developed a variety of commercial real estate projects, and has owned and operated several retail and transportation businesses in the Lower Mainland.  His strengths in concept development and project implementation, team building, marketing and investment capital fundraising have opened doors to extensive involvement in municipal, commercial and First Nations development projects. Dana is a well rounded Executive Manager with diverse, “hands on” business experience and serves as a director and advisor on a number of industry and community Boards of directors.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Provided strategic business and government relations advice to major commercial real estate projects in the lower mainland including two private/ public facilities, recreational, commercial retail and residential components.

Partnered with Brent Kerr (developer) as a consultant on the Riverport project in Richmond, successfully rezoning a difficult industrial property to include commercial, public use, residential and entertainment components.

Under contract with the Century Group, developed the concept and strategy for redevelopment of an existing mall to include major retail anchor tenant and residential project components.

Developed future commercial/residential development concepts for the Tsawwassen Indian Band and the Musqueam Indian Band (plans completed for both projects, pending treaty and government approval).

Provided conceptual vision and leadership to major investor group for development of large floor plate retail chain of Liquor stores in the highly regulated BC marketplace.

Owner and operator of several retail ventures, including: a 150-employee, $26 million retail grocery franchise (a “Best in Canada” industry designation in 2002); a top 5-BC-sales VQA wine store; a premium up-market retail meat retailer; and a 100-driver messenger and delivery firm.

Led development of concept, vision and business plan for high volume, retail grocery store chain planned to open in several BC markets.
