An experienced senior accountant and controller with major accomplishments in the private sector in start-up operations, corporate development with restructuring, and operational reviews. Emphasis has been on internal control, financial restructuring and business development especially in the food and steel fabricating industries.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS – as a Contract Executive

Project accountant for a multinational company responsible for the annual budget, quarterly budget updates, weekly and monthly corporate reporting to the corporate head office. Prepared financial analysis for division’s CEO and corporate head office, assisted with the development of strategic plans and assisted in the installation, debugging and proving of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

As corporate controller for a public company in the food and packaging industries, participated in the evaluation of proposals for a new computerized accounting system to be used across five divisions.

Completed a business plan and financing structure for the establishment of a new manufacturing business. Worked with the principals to establish an appropriate organization complete with proper financial reporting and controls. Total financing required was $1,900,000.

Assisted the senior management of a food wholesaler in planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, financial analysis, sales analysis and numerous other capacities as they grew the business from less than $10 million to over $70 million in sales.

Negotiated the buyout of one partner in an organization. Arranged appropriate financing to acquire the interest of this partner and worked with management to create a more viable harmonious enterprise.

Completed an operations review, with comprehensive recommendations, of a major public institution, including extensive senior management re-organization.

After an operational review, developed a restructuring plan for a business where the existing banker had lost confidence.

Assisted management in the preparation of a comprehensive business plan that was instrumental in obtaining appropriate financing for a major ski hill expansion.

Manager of the consulting services department in a major accounting firm.

Prepared financial forecasts which assisted company in obtaining financing.
