| Marion is a results oriented executive and entrepreneur
with in depth experience in the private, not for profit and government
sectors. Her career includes developing a warranty business that became
a market leader in the automotive sector. Marion’s public sector
and industry experience has demonstrated her ability to influence public
policy at the highest level, provincially and nationally.
SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Led B.C. Company from 300K per annum in sales to 12 million annually
and #1 in market share. Established a sales team, claims department and
administration to meet the new growth.
Led two industry associations to amalgamate into single provincial entity
by process of active consultation.
Established the concept, constructed legal framework and secured funding
for a combined charitable and scholastic foundation on behalf of an industry
group to raise its public profile.
Established and implemented government relations strategy for high profile
not for profit industry group to raise public profile and influence legislation.
Developed and implemented a successful strategy to correct legislation
that adversely affected an industry group.
Initiated an environmental program through Aircare and the GVRD as a successful
public relations initiative for an industry group. The program operated
for five years.
Obtained the necessary insurance licensing and set up a regional office
for an out of province P&C company.
Developed and taught a motivational course for a business community which
was supported by a local university.
