Senior level manager with broad experience in general management of the marketing functions in manufacturing and distribution companies (small and multinationals), operating mostly in the Canadian and USA building materials industry. Has acquired vast experience in change management resulting from mergers, acquisitions, and company closings.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Formulated and implemented a new strategic marketing plan for an unprofitable division of C.I.P. which led to targeted profitability within two years.

Managed the integration of two competing marketing and sales organizations, following the acquisition of its competitor by Armstrong. Achieved the financial objectives of the new owners.  The Canadian company achieved and retained the highest market share amongst all operating regions worldwide.

Integrated many marketing and sales functions with the parent company’s, which led to fixed costs savings of 25 %, and sales productivity of 14 % compounded annually.

Coordinated the activities of an international team of BPB functional experts, to assess the feasibility of manufacturing domestically and marketing a new European gypsum based architectural product in the North American market.

Participated in the due diligence process of BPB prior to the acquisition of certain operations of the Celotex Corporation.

Following the acquisition of the Celotex operations (100+ million $ per year) was appointed interim VP and General Manager.  Successfully led the management team in the formulation and the beginning of implementation of the strategic three year plan as approved by the BPB Board.

Developed a new Quebec wide distribution network, allowing a steel construction components fabricator to significantly increase the productivity rate of their plant.

Achieved contractor sales records (65 % increase over two years) and gross margin improvement for a large independent retail/wholesale company.

Following the death of its founder, was retained as acting VP and General Manager, to keep the company a going concern to maximize its value while the remaining shareholders searched to find a buyer.
