management experience at the corporate level in business as well as at
the operations level in the manufacturing sector. His international experience
acquired in the United States, Brazil and France has allowed him to develop

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Planned and successfully launched the Canadian branch of a European-based
management consulting firm. Quickly established credibility with recognized
private and public companies in Quebec, and reached profitability after
18 months of operations.
Managed a division (with annual sales of $150 million), optimized the
current operations, and achieved a 50% improvement and new record level
in earnings. Defined and launched the implementation of a strategic development
plan to double sales and earning in five years.
Reorganized and managed the North American Corporate Technical Centre
of Lafarge, which became a benchmark in the Lafarge Group with the lowest
operating cost.
Turned the productivity and production cost of a plant around while improving
labour relations, achieving significant gains in wages, subcontracting,
and employee versatility. The plant became the best Lafarge cement plant
in North America at the end of his mandate.
Designed and implemented a three-year Progress Plan using performance
indicators in the 15 North-American plants, resulting in accelerated improvements
in plant equipment productivity, product quality, lower manufacturing
costs, while facilitating the benchmarking process.
Improved the return on capital investments by designing, implementing
and managing a new process for the planning, selection and approval of
capital projects ($150 million/year). Successfully managed projects of
$200 million.
Created a product development committee fostering excellent teamwork between
product R&D and marketing, resulting in lower research costs and a
faster launch of new products.
