SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Engineering support for global product expansion program on three continents in preparation for potential global pandemic. Worked directly with equipment contract manufacturers & the individual site implementation teams.
Led manufacturing ramped-up programme from 11million products per year to over 200 million in 18 months, with 60% of all production coming from new products. Proposed & successfully led a plant restructuring programme attracting major capital investment.
Successfully turned around a manufacturing assembly & plastic injection moulding business; bringing it into profit with 12 months. Initiated & led management reorganisation & achieved 18% reduction in overheads; led the programme of change in the areas of lean manufacturing, team working, set-up reduction & engendered a culture of continuous improvement which resulted in year on year reduction in standard cost.
Programme managed & led international teams in the relocation of manufacturing operations from facilities in Europe & US to either other in-country locations or SE Asia; requiring maintenance of existing customer delivery performance & significant concurrent engineering improvements to stabilise & condense the manufacturing processes, increase the output & raise product yield & quality.
