A senior executive with international operations experience throughout North and South America, Asia and Europe in both large and small companies in the manufacturing sector. Specific skills in the design and implementation of cross functional business management systems directed at Continuous Improvement in operations and customer service. Extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and greenfield plants as well as strategic planning.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Operating responsibility for 16 just-in-time manufacturing sites located in North America with sales of $400 million.

Developed an annual Strategic Planning process that established operating priorities, drove decision making and measured employee performance throughout a 5,000 employee multi plant global company. The process was benchmarked as a best practice by external auditors.

Integrated diverse systems of business management, reporting and customer satisfaction measurement of acquired companies into the unified benchmarked process.

Developed a quality and delivery performance measurement and corrective action process that directed 40 manufacturing sites and more than 200 suppliers throughout North and South America, Asia and Europe. Annual improvement exceeded 10%.

Built and launched 4 greenfield just-in-time automotive component manufacturing plants employing 150 people at each site in North America.

Negotiated a unique commercial arrangement to locate a just-in-time manufacturing operation within a well established North American automotive assembly plant. Compensation was based on dollar savings to the customer that exceeded existing operating criteria – a radical and successful departure in a customer/supplier relationship.

Achieved QS/ISO 9000 Registration in a global network of 40 manufacturing facilities in a record time of 18 months. Established the compliance model and registered the lead Corporate and Divisional plant sites to the recently introduced TS 16949 Business Management System.

Successfully negotiated multi year contracts with various unions in Canada and the United States that met internal mandates and avoided interruptions with customers.

Achieved top level supplier performance awards from North and South American, European and Japanese automobile manufacturers.
