CLIENT: Not-for-ProfitCHALLENGEAs a result of the retirement of the long-time Regional Director of a national not-for-profit organization, and a coincident strategic review of the structure and operations of the region, senior management required a strong management presence on an interim basis, pending the recommendations of the review committee. THE APPROACHSince a suitable candidate was not currently available within the organization, The Osborne Group was contacted to provide a professional interim executive who could step in immediately to provide leadership and direction to mission delivery and fundraising staff as well as a large volunteer community through a very active spring fundraising season. The Osborne Group proposed a candidate on a three-day-per week basis for six months. Within two weeks of the initial contact, the proposal was presented, accepted and The Osborne Group Principal was on the job. THE RESULT· Staff morale was maintained throughout the period of the organizational review and turnover was minimized. The ConclusionThe contract was renewed for a further six-month term. |
