THE CLIENT: Health Care Facility

THE CHALLENGE

To provide timely and effective human resource leadership on an interim basis.

THE APPROACH

The CEO recognized the need to retain the services of a qualified human resource executive on an interim basis while an executive search was being completed to recruit a Director of Human Resources.

THE RESULT

· Within twenty-four hours of the initial meeting, one of our principals was in place and up-to-speed.

· Developed an ac tion plan to identify and address priorities within a specific timeline.

· Conducted regular meetings with each of the six labour unions resulting in the settlement of the majority of outstanding grievances.

· Revised human resource policies for the client’s management employees.

· Realigned recruitment strategies in order to enhance the client’s image as an employer of choice.

· Reviewed training and development policies and made recommendations to strategically align same with organizational priorities.

· Established a framework for the revision of the client’s performance management program.

· Mentored the management team.

· Ensured on -going support for the H/R team.
