Industrial Equipment Manufacturer

WHO

Designer and manufacturer of large scale custom industrial equipment. Locations in Toronto, China and India, with customers in 50 countries. Approximately 60 employees, and sales of $25,000m. Family owned.

WHAT

The founder of the company suffered through a serious health issue 15 years ago and his wife took over the business. A highly technical business, she relied heavily on the staff to continue to operate the business while she learned what she needed to, in order to fulfill the role of President and CEO. She eventually brought both of her children into the business. The business is prosperous.

She learned that the 3 sales staff who had been with the business many years were conducting fraudulent activities, and dismissed all of them, reducing the sales activity to a standstill.

HOW

The Osborne Group stepped in immediately to assume the role of Interim Sales Director, to mitigate the damages caused by the fraudulent activities, and to assure customers that the integrity and capability of the company had not been compromised.

The President undertook an immediate search for a full-time Sales Manager and was able to fill the position within 10 weeks. The Osborne Principal worked with the new employee to transition all outstanding issues including newly awarded contracts.
