It’s playoff time in hockey and basketball. The long season, extending over 80 games, is capped by 4 rounds of playoffs, with the eventual winners having to win 16 games by playing in another 20 to 28 games.  There are star players on each team but in the end the championship teams are often those with the best reserve of talent available; in the vernacular, the champions are often the team with the “deepest bench”. When the “stars” get hurt or hit a “slump”, successful teams put those key individuals from the bench into action.

It’s much the same in the business world. Whether you’re a commercial business or a non-profit organization, you have mission critical goals and objectives that require attention, competition to deal with, products and services to develop and take to market along with the ever present financial demands of modern day organizational life. Your team is likely moving well in juggling all of those priorities. So how do you get into the playoffs, let alone make it to the championship level? How do you find the bench strength to start that new product development plan that might well vault you well beyond your competition? How do you overhaul your manufacturing and supply chain functions to take advantage of new technology that will keep costs down?

Your organization’s bench can be an Interim Executive. Regardless of the size or nature of your organization or the functional area where additional resources are needed, an Interim Executive is an excellent resource to help your team get into the championship game. Professional, highly educated and with several years of experience at senior levels in their respective functional areas, Interim Executives at The Osborne Group hit the ground running. And we keep running for as long as we’re needed. We’ve often “been there” (wherever it is that your organization finds itself) and “done that”. We join your organization to work as an integral part of your team; to find out what needs to be done and then work to put that solution successfully into place.  Once we’ve helped score the winning goal and your team’s back to full strength, we go back on the bench.

Make sure that your organization can reach the championship game; make sure all your benches have what they need to get the job done. If they don’t, give us a call. We’ll supplement your key resources and help to bring the title home.
