Setting your own hours, making the big decisions, maybe even sloughing off the small and \u201cmenial\u201d tasks to others under your \u201ccommand\u201d\u2026.these thoughts are some of the many parts of that dream. Business shows dealing with the many kinds of franchised businesses all tout the numerous positive aspects of \u201cbeing your own boss\u201d through franchise ownership.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn\u2019t take much imagination to see the good side of being \u201cthe boss\u201d:\u00a0 a large corner office in some cases; assistants to handle the many tasks that need to get attended to; and of course the money and perks that are often associated with the top position. But being the boss and exercising leadership have another, often less \u201cenjoyable\u201d side: making hard choices on any number of important topics; being accountable for those decisions and as well as those of others that work for you; making sure that the work that needs to be completed is, in fact, both completed and accurate.<\/p>\n<p>How many of us realize that both the scenarios noted above already exist in our daily lives?<\/p>\n<p>All of us deal with key strategic decisions; like where will I live; what field of work should I choose; should I change jobs or my career?
