We’re delighted to welcome new Osborne Group Principal Karen Mortfield to our team. Karen brings a wealth of communications and leadership strengths to the Group. She has a major record of success building and leading teams in the private, not-for-profit and government sectors. Karen specializes in the areas of public affairs, stakeholder and media relations.

Karen was most recently Vice-President, Stakeholder Relations at Tarion Warranty Corporation. Prior to that she was CEO of the Ontario Charity Gaming Council of Ontario; Special Advisor, Ontario Realty Corporation and; Director, Public Affairs at Rothman’s, Benson & Hedges. She was also a senior communications advisor to the Ontario Ministers of Education, Finance, Citizenship and Culture and Chief of Staff for the Minister for Women’s Issues and Intergovernmental Affairs.

In her volunteer capacity, Karen served on the Boards of Variety Village, Hospice Association of Ontario and New Haven, a school for children with autism. During the past eight years, Karen has led a renaissance at Richmond Hill, Ontario’s historic David Dunlop Observatory, home of Canada’s largest optical telescope. As a result of her dedicated and energetic leadership, the Observatory now provides education and public outreach opportunities for thousands of visitors each year.
